J. Renae Pfingston, 58, of Lake Alfred FL, went to her Heavenly Reward, Monday September 12, 2022 after a 5-year battle with ovarian cancer. She was the best friend and wife of Brett D Pfingston, her husband of 35 Years. She loved her children, Anthony B. Pfingston, Courtney N Taylor (Logan), Austin T Pfingston, and her granddaughter Zhi, more than anyone could ever know. She was preceded in death by her father-in law, Robert H Pfingston (Daddio), her father, Gary R Ice, her mother, Carolyn S. Barnett, her step-father, Ervin T. Barnett, and her brother, Randall Williamson. She is survived by her sister, Paulette Elder, step-brother, Brett Barnett, brother, Shawn Barnett (Natalye), sister, Heather Payne (Tony), her mother-in-law, Betty L Pfingston, brother -inlaw, Dr. Scott A Pfingston and his loving wife Kim, her sister-in-law, Melodi Wood and her wonderful husband Jon Wood, as well as, several nieces and nephews, Kelly Wood, Christian Wood, Connor Brown, Chaston Pfingston, Chandler Brown, Chanley Pfingston, Mattie Hagemeier (Joseph), Hannah Wood (Brice), Madison Payne, Gavin Payne, Sophia Wood, and her 2 great nieces Layla Jude Hagemeier and Ava Marie Hagemeier. She worked at BayCare Winter Haven Hospital, from 2008 to April of 2022 as a Business Office Specialist and moved into a position as a Clinical Lab Purchasing Agent. She was a member of Willow Oak Assembly of God in Mulberry, FL. and attended, in the past, Calvary Assembly of God in Winter Haven, FL. where she was active in Girls Ministries (Missionettes) for several years, as well as, a leader in the ministry Cutting Edge. She was also the Director of Calvary Child Care. Renae had a faith in our God like no other. From day one of her diagnosis of cancer on September 13th, 2017, her faith was never shaken. She always said and maintained through her battle that “God’s Plan for each of us is perfect, if he chooses to heal me through the doctors and medicine or heal me miraculously by a divine touch of his hand or by taking me home to Heaven. I am fine with whatever he chooses.” This mindset has allowed her to minister to so many people during her journey. We may never see the harvest but she planted the seed. As Christ followers our mission should be to plant seeds and water them, helping other grow in their walk with Christ, daily. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at her church Willow Oak Assembly of God on a date to be determined.
