Died March 15, 2023 in Lake Wales, Florida

Rosalyn “Roz” unexpectedly passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023 after a brief illness. She was surrounded by her loving family when Jesus called her home. Roz was preceded in death by her parents, Minnie and Roy Ormerod. She is survived by her loving sister, Delores J. Reid, and her niece and nephews: John Thomas McClure, III (Tonya), Teri Lynne Barrett (Jay), and James Carter McClure (Cathy), and several cousins, great-nephews and great-nieces.

Roz was a member of Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY. She was a former member of the Louisville Ski Club. Skiing was her passion; she taught her niece and nephews the sport, and traveled all over the world on skip trips. Roz was a Kentucky Colonel, and cheered for both teams, UofL and UK.

Roz was a UofL graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She began her decades-long career with KFC Corp/YUM! Brands as an administrative assistant to numerous CEOs.

Rosalyn was cremated in Florida. A private burial in Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky is being planned.
